A Family Rooted in Community

George Colbert, a proud resident of Louisville, understands the essence of community.

With deep ties in Ward 2, he and his wife, Michael Ann, finished preparing their sons to launch in this vibrant neighborhood.

Both sons, Zac and George Jr. attended and graduated from Monarch High School and contributed to the local community by working at Lulu’s BBQ over the past four years.

The Colberts explored homes throughout the Denver metro area but found their perfect fit in Louisville in 2019.

Drawn by the small-town charm, walkability, thriving local businesses, restaurants, and, most importantly, the welcoming people, George and his family knew this was where they wanted to call home.

Customer-Centric Leadership for Louisville

In his professional life, George excels in customer-centricity. As the Director of Customer Success/Experience at Helmerich and Payne, a 103-year-old company, he’s responsible for ensuring the company executes its vision of Customer Centricity.

This includes creating a world-class customer journey, developing an omnichannel feedback program, and holding various departments accountable for creating success plans for every customer.

George believes that, when it comes to city government, residents are akin to valued customers; their voices should guide Louisville’s path to becoming the number one small town in America again.

With his extensive background in customer service and strategy, he’s eager to translate these skills into advocating for the residents of Ward 2.

A Passion for Positive Change

George’s motivation to run for City Council stemmed from being approached by community members advocating for change. They recognized his ability to bring people together to find solutions, a skill he values not for vanity but because it’s the right thing to do.

After listening to concerns ranging from wildfire recovery and mitigation to economic vitality, affordable housing, road safety, open space preservation, and decarbonization, George felt compelled to step up and help.

With both sons now pursuing their own educational journeys, George has the time and energy to devote to making a positive impact on Louisville. His career, which centers on finding new and improved ways to execute a vision, reinforces his role as an agent of change.

He firmly believes that change is inevitable and that managing it effectively is crucial.

“Some people find a problem for every solution. I find a solution for every problem.”
